About Me

My Background

I come from a non-profit, social service background. And the previous organization I worked for had an overarching principle of “value communication.”

Essentially, it’s the idea that how and what we communicate is essential. What we say and how we say it must come from honesty, integrity, and concern for the other person’s well-being.

It also involves another aspect of effective communication that is often lacking—listening, where we need to create a space to hear what others say.

Effective Communication

I have translated these skills professionally in my editing services, flipping this principle over into “communicating value.”

As an editor, I aim to communicate and collaborate openly with my clients. I want to ensure their writing is authentic to them and their audience.

Writing should be technically sound but also convey the spirit of who the writer or organization is.

Content and Book Editor, Consultant, Photographer, and Image Editor

I’ve taken on many roles as an editor, working with online publishers, writers, and many self-publishing authors. I’ve worked one-on-one with people and in teams to produce quality work that my clients and I have been proud of.
